Development of the Preston area, which is located north of High House between Cary Parkway and Davis Drive, began in 1987. Thirty-five of the communities here are managed by an active homeowner’s association, while others are managed by additional homeowner’s associations or are unincorporated. No matter which Preston area community you choose, you will have the opportunity to join the best amenity in the center of it all – the Prestonwood Country Club.
Located at 300 Prestonwood Parkway in Cary NC, the Prestonwood Country Club offers a total of 54 holes of scenic golf, (which includes three separate 18-hole courses.) Situated on flat terrain with a variety of water hazards including creeks, streams, lakes and ponds, the courses offer narrow fairways and easy walkability. The three courses were originally designed by architect Tom Jackson between 1988 and 1995, with renovations done by Rick Robbins – (an understudy of Jack Nicklaus) – between 2009 and 2011.) Golf lessons are also offered, and there is a pro shop located in the club.

If you are a swimmer, you can enjoy one of the three swimming pools located here, which include lap swimming areas, a dive area, a water slide and more. If tennis is your sport, you can play a match on one of the 15 tennis courts at the facility, six of which are surfaced with composition clay, and nine of which feature an all-weather surface. If you want to use your membership for fitness, you can take one of the various aerobics classes that are offered, sign up for a personal trainer, or use one of the cardio machines or free weights that are available. Steam rooms are also located here, and massage therapists are also available for a little added relaxation.
Are you wondering what the kids will do while you are playing golf or tennis, swimming or exercising? Don’t worry – the Kids’ Club can entertain the young ones in your family by offering golf or swim lessons, summer camps, weekend babysitting, special events, and more.
